FILM PROCESSING SYSTEMS
Optimum Dental Film Processing
You depend on radiographic films for diagnosis
and often employ them in the presentation
of treatment plans or as a patient education aid.
You realize the importance of consistent, artifact-
free film processing. Air Techniques has engineered
the A/T 2000XR
®
,
Peri-Pro III
®
and Peri-Pro
®
to process the best images possible, for every film,
every patient, every day.

Peri-Pro models have set the standard for intraoral film processing for over two decades. They have been chosen by more dentists than
any other processors. Both the Peri-Pro III and Peri-Pro automatically process all intraoral films including sizes 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Consider the advantages of the Peri-Pro III and Peri-Pro:
Peri-Pro processors do not require a plumbing connection; just change the wash
water daily. On Peri-Pro III, a Drain Valve and an Access Door facilitate wash water
drainage and refill, without removing the processor cover.
Up to eight films may be placed into the film inlet at one time. Once the films
drop into the transport, up to eight more films may be loaded in less than
one minute.
Gentle, gravity-assisted processing. Inside the Peri-Pro III and Peri-Pro, films
are guided through each cycle by stainless steel arms and gravity. Film surfaces
are not touched during processing.
Both Peri-Pro III and Peri-Pro can be fitted with an optional Daylight Loader or
Daylight Loader/Film Duplicator, eliminating the need for a darkroom.
Peri-Pro III features an electronically controlled heating system to maintain an
optimum 75
°
F chemistry temperature. A temperature ready light in the process
switch signals when the Peri-Pro III has reached correct operating temperature.
Peri-Pro III delivers archival films in just 5 minutes. Peri-Pro operates at room
temperature and films are processed in 7 1/2 minutes.
Both A/T 2000XR models 45005 and 45009 contain Processor, Leveling Base, one bottle Spray 2000, 4 ea. Air Techniques Cleaning
Films, one case Chemistry No. 40270, one bottle Starter No. 40280 and Instructional Video.
Process Time: Archival, 5 1/2 Minutes. “Quick-look” Endo periapical films, 2 1/2 minutes.
Chemistry Replenishment: At initial Power On, 4 1/4 oz. in 90 seconds. Every 13 3/4 linear film, 1 2/3 oz. in 35 seconds.
Electrical: 115V, 60Hz, 8A. Use 3 prong grounded outlet. Dedicated 15 amp line recommended.
Water Flow: 1/2 gallon/minute when processing film. Do not use water softeners.
Water Pressure: 80 psi max. / 30 psi min. Manual shut-off required near processor.
Water Connection: 1/2” female NP and 3/4 male garden hose adapters provided.
A 6’ long water supply hose is provided to connect to the rear of the processor.
Water Backflow Prevention: Vacuum breaker not required. Processor has a 1” air gap between water supply inlet and top of
highest water level in processor.
Water Temperature: Mixing valve not required if water temperature is between 55°F (13°C) to 80°F (2C).
Drain: Use 1 1/2 diameter vertical PVC standpipe, open at top, connected to 1 1/2 PVC trap. Top of
standpipe must be 6 below bottom of countertop. DO N OT DRAIN INTO COPPE R OR BRASS.
Ventilation: Room air must not exceed 8F (27°C) during processing. Processing generates heat. Adequate
ventilation of 10 air changes per hour is necessary to maintain darkroom temperature.
